2026 Regional Student Welcome Events
This summer, the Pitt Alumni Association and Pitt Regional Alumni Networks are hosting Student Welcomes in regions across the United States. These informal, social gatherings are designed to welcome incoming first-year students and their families into the Pitt community, right in their own backyard. They also give our alumni the opportunity to strengthen local networks while sharing their Pitt experiences with new students and their families. Local volunteers will highlight the events they host throughout the year to keep the Pitt connection strong.
Students will have the opportunity to meet fellow incoming Panthers, exchange contact information, and chat about residence halls, roommates, and what to expect in the fall. Parents can connect with other Pitt families and regional Pitt representatives as well. Student Welcomes are a wonderful way to start building lasting connections and feel part of the Pitt family long before arriving on campus.
Attendance is free for all students, alumni and their families; however, we kindly ask that you only RSVP if you truly plan to attend. Accurate registration numbers help our volunteers plan appropriately for food, space, and ticketing where applicable. Your consideration ensures we can create the best possible experience for everyone joining us to celebrate the newest members of the Pitt family.
