A fun-filled outdoor welcome festival for alumni to check-in, pick up Pitt Black Panther box and fellowship over lite refreshments. 

3:30 p.m.  Join the Pitt Band for their historic tradition, the "snake"   This tradition started in the 1950's and was brought back in 2019 and was featured on ESPN! The snake will be a march through lower campus playing school songs, pump up music and the alma mater that will energize students, faculty, staff and alumni in anticipation of this year's Homecoming game. At the end of the snake we will conclude with a concert on the steps of the Cathedral of Learning.

The University of Pittsburgh Library System (ULS) invites our Pitt Alumni to a Genealogy and Family History Workshop hosted by the archivists from the Archives and Special Collections Department. Participants will learn about essential research tools and document types that can lead them on a pathway to discovering their rich heritage. Included in the workshop will be an introduction to basic recordkeeping techniques and forms that will assist any researcher with documenting their pathways back in-time. Should it be necessary to hold this workshop “virtually” because of public health concerns, the workshop will focus on utilizing ULS created digital library sites such as Historicpittsburgh.org and documenting.pitt.edu for researching family history.
