The AAAC Student and Alumni Networking Reception will foster connections between current students and alumni. This gathering offers a unique opportunity for attendees to engage in meaningful conversations, share experiences, and build professional relationships. It's an ideal setting for students to gain insights from alumni who have navigated their paths to success, while alumni can reconnect with their alma mater and support the next generation of leaders. This event will take place on the 7th Floor Lobby of Alumni Hall.

Come explore this large, one-time display, including artifacts, yearbooks, photos, video, and more, from the University Archives at the University Library System as a Pitt History Passport guides you through two centuries of Pitt history. Talk with knowledgeable library staff and take home bookmarks and buttons featuring Pitt archival images!

The Alumni Volunteer Leadership Conference is a great opportunity to bring volunteer leaders across alumni networks together and provide educational resources, best practices and opportunities for volunteers connect and present to one another, and most importantly, engaging alumni back to the university.

The tradition of the Snake through campus during the Homecoming Celebration. The band will perform school songs and crowd favorites during the march and the subsequent concert at the Cathedral of Learning.

Please join the staff of the Nationality Rooms and Intercultural Exchange Programs and one another to welcome back alumni of the Quo Vadis student organization. This event is exclusive to alumni of this group and to invited Nationality and Heritage Room Committee representatives. The long standing student club has been in place since 1944 and provides tours to the general public; The Quo Vadis guides’ special connection to and understanding of the Nationality and Heritage Rooms animate the spaces for the many University and community members who visit.

Celebrate Homecoming with the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs! We will be hosting a reception for alumni and friends on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Alumni hall (5th floor). Connect with your former classmates, say hello to the Dean and meet some of our current students. Appetizers, drinks and desserts will be served.

All alumni are invited to attend. The classes of 1964, 1969, 1977, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004, 2009, 2014, and 2019 are invited to join us an hour early at 5 p.m. for a special pre-celebration.

All Pitt alumni from every year and campus are welcome to come celebrate. This event will also feature alumni brewing partners! Admission includes food, a giveaway, beer from alumni vendors and other and non-alcoholic drinks from the bar. Enjoy memorabilia, yearbooks and other activities. This is a perfect spot to meet up and reconnect with friends before the fireworks!

The University of Pittsburgh's National Pan-Hellenic Council will be hosting their biannual Homecoming Stroll Competition! This event is a friendly competition where NPHC fraternities and sororities demonstrate their creativity, agility, and understanding of rhythm and dance.

The Pitt Program Council presents an amazing display of fireworks and lasers timed to music as Bigelow Boulevard and the Cathedral of Learning are lit up in celebration of Homecoming.

Join us for an engaging and transformative workshop focused on the principles and practices of peacebuilding and nonviolence. Open to both the University and the wider regional community, this interactive event will provide valuable tools and insights to help you foster peace and positive change in your surroundings. Through thought-provoking discussions and hands-on activities, participants will explore the power of nonviolent engagement and the role it plays in creating a beloved community. This workshop is a collaborative effort between the Center on Race and Social Problems, the David C. Frederick Honors College, and the Alliance for Humanitarian Initiatives, Nonviolence, and Spiritual Advancement (AHINSA). Featured speakers include: • Raja Rosenhagen, Associate Professor of Philosophy at Fresno State, Bhagawan Vasu Pujya Swami Post-Doctoral Fellow in Jain Studies • Morgan Overton, Artist-in-Residence at Frederick Honors College • Dr. Eli McCarthy, Director of Justice and Peace Studies program at Georgetown University | Director of Programs, DC Peace Team • Rev. Paul Abernathy, Director of the Neighborhood Resilience Project

Join Anantha Shekhar, senior vice chancellor for the health sciences and John and Gertrude Petersen Dean, School of Medicine, and alumni celebrating 50 years and above at The Oaklander Hotel for a pre-brunch reception.

Join us for the 2024 Garbage Olympics and help clean up the Oakland neighborhoods! Alumni, families, students, faculty, staff and Oakland residents are all welcome to join and compete for who can pick up the most trash! Gloves, vests, garbage bags, etc., are all provided. Additional information will be shared before the event via email. Children under the age of 18 are welcome to participate but will require a parent/guardian signature and parent and guardian will need to be present with the child throughout the event.

A complimentary brunch will be held at The Oaklander Hotel for all class years, hosted by Anantha Shekhar, senior vice chancellor for the health sciences and John and Gertrude Petersen Dean, School of Medicine.

The tailgate begins 4 hours prior to kickoff at 11:30am.

The pre-game concert is 2 hours prior to kickoff at 1:30pm.

This event will be held Saturday, September 21 on the Great Lawn on the North Shore from 12:30pm - 3:00pm.

Join fellow Pitt alumni and fans as we get ready to cheer the Panthers on to victory against Youngstown State. Payment and registration are required to guarantee a spot. A full meal is included in the price of admission. Adults over 21 years old will receive three drink tickets. Please note, admission to the Official Pitt Alumni Association Tailgate does not include parking or game tickets. Space is limited, so register today!

Make your way to the North Shore to cheer on the Pitt Panthers against the Youngstown State Penguins and enjoy an exclusive pregame on-field experience. You must have a ticket to the football game to attend this event; you are not eligible for access without a ticket.

The tour will follow the conclusion of the School of Medicine brunch, and shuttle service will be provided from The Oaklander Hotel to Scaife Hall.

Celebrate 40 years of WPTS FM with WPTS Radio at our Homecoming Showcase featuring three local Pittsburgh bands! Join WPTS Radio on Saturday, September 21 following the Homecoming Game at the WPU Plaza from 8PM to 10PM. Also at this time, we invite WPTS Radio alumni to visit the station for an Open House celebrating the 40th anniversary of our FM signal.

Please join the AAAC and the congregation of Macedonia Church of Pittsburgh to celebrate the end of the homecoming weekend with a worship service. Shuttle service will be provided from campus. This is a wonderful opportunity to come together in fellowship, reflect on the weekend's events, and give thanks.

This event offers a delightful blend of smooth jazz music and a gourmet brunch, creating the perfect atmosphere for reminiscing and reconnecting with fellow alumni. We will also take a moment to honor and recognize the recipients of the AAAC scholarships, celebrating their achievements and potential.
